Unfortunately, Troy reports Monday evening and this morning were bad. After picking Thayden up from school yesterday, Thayden had a tantrum like he hadn't had since before he started the diet. He also had a tough day at school, not keeping his hands to himself during circle time, not listening, etc. What went wrong? We don't know for sure, but when Troy went to pack T's lunch this morning his snack was still in his bag from yesterday. When he asked his teachers, both his normal teachers were out at snack time and they had a substitute for 1/2 hour of so - who might not have known T needed his own food for snack. If so, he had crackers and possibly milk (we're checking on that.) Unfortunately the cook of his school recently quit (she was great) and they are still looking for a replacement so the sub teacher and the sub cook probably both didn't know (or remember) his special diet. Bummer. He did good tonight though, so hopefully if it was the food it is out of his system (so maybe we can assume gluten and/or milk are no-nos?)
In any case, I decided to liberalize his diet with adding tomatoes. He was so excited for spaghetti tonight. I found some organic just tomatoes and spices with some agave syrup pasta sauce (I'm a Prego girl, but this was really good! - of course, 2-3x as much as Prego.) Rice spaghetti noodles, steamed carrots and broccoli, then rice ice cream.
| Messy fingers and face, but a clean plate! (after 2nds!) |
| This is what T thought of the meal tonight |
