Things are coming together!

Overall it has been a great week. :)

It started off last weekend while we were visiting the farm and got a phone call from our Realtor for an offer on our house, which led to a signed contract! It is still pending home inspection but as long as that passes our house will be sold! We close the end of May.

We also signed the lease on a house in the Stapleton neighborhood of Denver! I haven't actually gotten a chance to see it, but Troy says it will be perfect for us, at least for a year. It will be bittersweet to leave our first house, but we are excited for the move.

The kids are also both enrolled in the Knowledge Beginnings, which is the same Learning Center Thayden attends now so we are hoping it will be a smooth transition for him since it will be a similar environment. We have been very happy with KB for the past 2 years and were very excited our current director could make a phone call on our behalf to get them in despite the long waitlist. Conveniently it is located just a couple blocks from the house we are renting. :) So overall, things are coming together!

Troy flew to Denver on Tuesday for an interview with HP. He also had a couple phone interviews this week so things are looking promising in the job department! Now we just have to be patient and hope to hear good news. In the meantime, I am very happy to pick my hubby up from the airport tonight and have him home again! I am so lucky to have found a good man and too often take what I have for granted until it's no longer there, which brings me to the not-so-fabulous part of the week where I tried to manage single parenting. I'm exhausted. Kuddos to all the single parents and stay-at-home parents out there! Wednesday and Thursday were a little rough on all 3 of us without Daddy. Sierra would scream every time I attempted to put her down, even if she had been sleeping soundly in my arms. She was like one of those dolls that has eyes that open when you pick it up and close when you lay it down - only the opposite. Thayden was his typical high-energy self with added naughtiness and pickiness (oh, and his favorite word this week is "poopy" - yippee). To add to the fun I had a dentist appointment, had to wrap up a research project at school, and needed to go shopping for groceries. By the time the day was over I wanted to collapse but had to clean up the peas that were all over the kitchen floor, the lemonade spilled on the carpet ("by accident mommy), and soak all the spit up & poopy clothes. Today started much better right away as the kids let me get over 6 hours of sleep last night (not consecutive but I'll take it anyway) and we all woke up happy. Sierra even let me put her down and she played in her bouncy seat and on the floor several times today, AND slept in her swing. After Thayden got a haircut (which he has been requesting for several days now), we drove up to Aunt Candice's to see grandma and grandpa and await Daddy's flight. Definitely thankful today was better than the last two! Despite the chaos and exhaustion at home, I am not looking forward to going back to work on Monday after having the past 10 weeks (for the most part) off. 3 weeks left until I'm done!

Here are some pictures from the past week (none from Wed or Thurs!) I will hopefully update good news on the job front next week!

Play time with Nana.

Cute little Twins fan :) Too bad that was a day they lost.

Painting with Daddy - beautiful artwork Thayden!

This morning the kids were playing nice together - Hallelujah! I had to capture that on film!

10 weeks old today! Showing off her double chin and overall cuteness. :)
