Easter

Happy Easter! I am excited we have photos to narrate our busy, joyous day! Enjoy!
Thayden awoke a bit before 7am, and as all four of us walked into the living room in our jammies, we saw evidence suggesting someone had been in our kitchen! "Oh no! A mess!" Thayden exclaimed through his Nuka. It appeared the Easter Bunny had tried to hide the baskets in the baking cabinet but there was no room, and he left a trail of flour as he hopped to find a different place. Flour paw prints and...bunny poop.
Suspicious tracks of paw prints and poop.
Examining the prints a little closer, there was no doubt it was that silly Easter Bunny. Now, where does his trail lead us?

Into the bathroom?

Yes! Behind the shower curtain we find a special Easter basket for Thayden and Sierra!
It is important to use anything perishable (candy) first, then on to the toys and clothes.

And what did Sierra get? Thayden used her bunny blankie to give her kisses while she was having some nums. After some breakfast for all, it was time for the next adventure: dying Easter eggs.

With only 9 eggs and 9 different colors (what happened to the 5 we used to have when we were kids?) that project was over quickly. These Easter eggs ended up being one of the only things Thayden ate today, however.
Next it was time to put Sierra in her bouncy chair so I could start on Easter dinner. We hosted our first holiday with Troy's parents, grandparents, and brother. Aside from the ham getting done an hour earlier than I anticipated, everything was a success! I should have taken a couple pictures of the food, but I always forget to take pics like that, so just take my word for it that it was good.

Sierra has a 6th sense that tells her when her mommy is eating because no matter where she is or how long it has been since she last ate, she awakens promptly when I sit down to eat. Today's meal was no exception, although she had been sleeping soundly for over an hour before then so I hadn't had time to dress her in her adorable white Easter eyelet dress until after we ate.

And a collection of pictures summing up the afternoon.

This is more uncle Brandon's style - upside down with a cackling Thayden.

Wait! The Easter fun is not done! We haven't done our Easter egg hunt yet!

Super smiley excited boy.
Thayden went outside today every time he could escape. Here was one of the approved times outside - going for a bike ride. This is a familiar view for us - he rarely waits.

And finally, all ready for bed in his new dinosaur PJ's he got in his Easter basket.

What a wonderful day, Easter! A time to celebrate His love and sacrifice for us all and cherish the life we have been given. So blessed we are.
