Back to the books

Unfortunately my days of no objectives and total relaxation (see previous post) ended abruptly this week.

Some fun reasons why I'm busy:

1. after finding out where we match to there is lots to do! (housing searches, meeting new classmates, and paperwork for my new job)
2. Thayden's gymnastics class and recital this week, in addition to normal RAC swimming and playing
3 nicer weather = outside activities!

Some not-so-fun reasons:

1. Misc overdue med school stuff (TB testing, case and procedure logging, clinical evals, etc)
2. student loan-exit interview (I guarantee most of you would get the deer-in-the-headlights look if you knew my debt...)
3. Class presentation x 2 hrs at 8am today on cardiology drugs (most definitely would give you the above mentioned deer-in-the-headlights look!)
4. TWO FINALS tomorrow (Friday) beginning at 8am in pharmacology and then radiology. Nice maternity leave huh?

But here I am writing this blog instead of last-minute cramming (afterall, what are those midnight feedings good for?)

In any case, those are the reasons these pics are posted so late. Enjoy.

LAST WEEK'S VISIT TO REDWOOD/FARM

Thayden changing the diaper on his baby doll. His commentary while opening her diaper: "Ewe, gross! Need to take off these clothes. You need to help me mommy, this is gross."

Baby Sierra in the arms of Great-Grandma Geneva (Troy's grandma). Sierra sleeps in her beautiful cradle every night. It was a gift from Great-Grandparents Vic and Geneva (made by Vic.)
Happy in the arms of another great-grandma - Gamma. Gamma is the best at getting babies to give up their first real smile (ie not related to dreaming or gas), but no go yet with Sierra, she's holding out!

Great aunt Wendy and Great-Great-Grandma (yep 2 greats!) Elsie getting their baby fix.

Cousin Maddie holding a sleeping Sierra.

Cousin Magan preparing for her own (don't worry Duane, she'll get through her wedding first!)

THIS WEEK'S HIGHLIGHTS

Thayden's new swimming skills caught on film! I'll post a video later...it was taking to long to upload for tonight!

Some pictures of my princess enjoying some play time.

This used to be Thayden's favorite when he was little, and when we got it out for Sierra he had a little melt down "That is MY toy!" After a little convincing, he was exited to show her how it works (music and lights above) and when she was done, it was HIS turn to be the baby so he crawled under the arch and played with it too. :) Thayden has become more and more interested in his baby sister, most often trying to give her a pacifier that she doesn't really like (but Thayden LOVES his Nuka so he doesn't understand why she wouldn't want hers.) In any case, it is good to see him more accepting of the intrusion into his egocentric world!

Now I must get to bed so I can attempt to think clearly tomorrow.
