Our New House!

Well after much contemplation after losing $$ on our house in Minnesota we decided not to buy a house and in Denver just rent in hopes of having a cheaper monthly payment. Then, on the spur of the moment this week we decided to look at what was out there, toured one house and decided it was the one, made an offer and signed the papers Friday night! Holy cow! Just like that in 30 days we'll be home owners again! And yes folks, that does mean we are committing to Denver for the foreseeable future.
It's a 4 bedroom house in the Stapleton neighborhood. Here is a few pics I took when we went back for a second look and brought the kiddos, who were both wired with excitement. Thayden was running up and down the stairs and Sierra was walking the hallways with giddy noises (yep, walking all by herself now!)

Kitchen with granite countertops.
You can see the patio door to the right that leads to the patio. I am SO excited we will have a patio and (mini) backyard to eat outside in the beautiful Denver weather!!!
The living room. The whole main floor is hardwood.
Formal dining room. And the one light fixture I don't care for in the house.
The main floor office, which will most likely be a toy room.

There are 4 total bedrooms on the second level, including the master with a huge walk-in closet and a 5-piece master bath. Here is one of the bedrooms upstairs.
Another feature of this house is the unfinished basement that allows us adequate storage space (it's crazy but our current house has no basement!) Eventually we may finish the basement but that will be several years down the road.
If anyone wants to come help us move about 1 mile down the road toward the end of February we would GLADLY welcome your help and probably be able to put you up now that we will have some space! Pray that the inspection and all the crossing of t's and dotting of i's goes OK over the next several weeks! Email me if you want our new address!

  1. How exciting, and what a beautiful house! My sister would be so jealous -- she lived in Denver for about 5 years and always wanted to move into the Stapleton area. Good luck with the move!
