Hello from Denver

Well I apologize for the lack of updates in the last months. I cannot promise it will get any better looking ahead at my schedule! I also apologize because we have been horrible at taking pictures lately. We will have to get back in the groove.

We have successfully made the move and settled in to our new home in Denver - and we all love it! The house itself is smaller than our old house in Minnesota, but it is nice and is in a great neighborhood with lots of kids, parks, pools, etc. Troy started his job at HP training in Fort Collins (a good hour commute) and so far so good. He worked a couple days from home last week and that will increase so eventually he will only have to go to Fort Collins once a month or so and the rest of the time he will telecommute from home. I started orientation for my residency program last Monday, and the kids started school (daycare) as well. Thayden was very excited and loves it so far! His class is just 3-year-olds and they have a busy agenda everyday - from recess to snack time, reading and phonics, and don't forget cooking class - whew, makes me tired (good thing they still have nap time too!) Sierra is also doing very well in school - she charms her teachers and was already holding hands with one of the boys in her class (captured on film). We are very happy they are in such a good place and it is a bonus that it is only a few blocks from our house so we can walk to drop them off & pick them up (well, Troy can, my schedule won't usually allow that!)

We have also had a few visitors already! My mom drove out with me and the kids and helped us unpack and set up the house (in a sleep-deprived state as we drove through the night to get here!) Lee & Diane have been here for the past few days. We have more family from both sides planning to come in July. Too bad we don't have our nice big house that we had in MN because I'm pretty sure we'll see more company in Denver than we ever did in Rochester!

With all the "getting settled" and starting work we haven't had much time to explore our new city but we are excited for all there is to do here. We have definitely explored our neighborhood, specifically "waterfall park" as Thayden has named a park near our house that has fountains for kids to play in (in addition to rock climbing walls, massive jungle gyms, swings, etc.) Last Sunday we attempted to try out a church but that quest is to be continued.

In other news - Sierra is 4 months old today!!! Wow how fast time is going! We are SO spoiled because she is such a good baby - sleeping through the night, rarely fusses, loves her brother, and is very easy going with everyone. Here's a little about her these days:

*Clothing size 3-6 months
*Can roll from front to back and back to front (although doesn't do it often)
*Can sit with support and prefers to be sitting or standing - anything upright to see what's going on!
*Loves being outside, looking out the window will sometimes suffice
*This week started getting quite excited about watching TV (Go Diego Go with Thayden)
*Laughs and squeals and tells long baby stories :) She is a very happy baby!
*Got her first cold this week (3 days into school she came home with a fever and a stuffed up nose...bummer!)
*Is quite adept at removing her pacifier ("Nuka") from her mouth, and is not quite as skilled at getting it back in (although occasionally she is successful). She is also quite adept at getting her fist into her mouth and has gagged herself on almost a daily basis while doing so. She is also starting to grab onto other objects (toys, etc) and bring them to her mouth.

Some photos of her over the past month.
Talking to her zebra.
Smiling at Daddy (back at our old house.)

First boat ride Memorial Day weekend at the lake.

Memorial day weekend again. Here is my fist (a couple weeks ago staring at her fists provided a solid 5 minutes of entertainment.)

"I see you suspicious camera."
Still checking out that camera.

Big brother with the crazy grin and wild hair holding Sierra so nicely.
